A Group Effort

OpenPublish is open-source software and is largely made possible by the enormous efforts of the Drupal community. While Phase2 Technology and its partner organizations have invested a large amount of time and resources in the development of OpenPublish, continued community involvement is the best way to ensure this piece of software grows and continues to improve.

There are numerous ways to contribute to OpenPublish.

Become an Evangelist

The easiest way to help out OpenPublish is to spread the word! Tweet, re-tweet, Facebook, Digg, present at local meet-ups and mention OpenPublish in private conversations. By letting the world know about OpenPublish, you will help both OP, as well as Drupal and the open-source movement in general, since OpenPublish is pure open-source, pure Drupal and an example of what Drupal and open-source can achieve.

Documentation

Please feel free to comment on documentation pages with suggestions, additions, examples or if you have more information published elsewhere that we can incorporate in this central place. Eventually we will probably turn OP documentation into a public Wiki, so anybody can edit and contribute.

Localization

We are working on setting up a public localization server for OpenPublish so that translations can be developed. Meanwhile, if you are interested contributing your translation services to OP, please contact us on the Drupal OpenPublish Group and we will hook you up with a space where you can contribute.

Community Participation

We are running a Drupal OpenPublish Group to centralize issues, ideas and support and start good community conversation. Becoming a member and getting involved in the group is a great way to contribute to OpenPublish. You will be able to ask questions, interact with core developers of OpenPublish, share your experience, help others and learn news about OpenPublish first-hand.

Code contributions

If you are a developer and are using OpenPublish, please contribute back! Patches, enhancements, modules and features, bug reports - everything is welcome, appreciated and helps us a lot.

Theme contributions

If you are a designer, we want you. OpenPublish opens a new level of opportunity for designers interested in Drupal. Being a more specifically defined distribution, compared to generic vanilla Drupal, it is easier to create unique publishing themes for OpenPublish. We have also created a robust base theme to further assist in theme development. Please refer to OpenPublish Theming Guide for more details.
