Going Places
OpenPublish boasts more than 15,000 downloads and 2,700 installations worldwide. The project includes 2 major releases and 8 minor releases. This roadmap highlights our vision and plans for the future of OpenPublish.
OpenPublish Vision
The genesis of the project was an identified need among online publishers who sought more from their content management system and publishing platform. OpenPublish is a "running start" for any publisher - it gets publishers to a working site faster, and allows developers to focus on advanced functionality and design. Our goal is to curate the very best of Drupal's powerful content management tools and package them specifically for the online publishing industry.
Ongoing Maintenance & Updates
We intend to keep the OpenPublish distribution up to date and compatible with Drupal core and our selected contributed modules as they become available. We'll continue to work closely with core and module maintainers and the Drupal security team to contribute issues and patches. We plan to release new versions of OpenPublish several times a year. In the case of critical security releases, we will create patches as soon as possible.
