Multimedia Content

OpenPublish supports a variety of hosted or embedded multimedia content, including video, audio or podcasts. Multimedia files are displayed on the site using a Flash-based media player. The decision to host internally or externally is dependent on organizational requirements, including how much multimedia is used.

Events contain information surrounding a particular occurence such as name, start date/time, end date/time, and description. Individual events are easily modified.

News packages are sets of topical information based around one relevant event or topic. Examples might include an election, or coverage of the war in Iraq. They may include various multimedia elements such as video, Flash graphics, audio pieces or podcasts, charts, widgets, text and photo galleries. Packages are used to collect multiple content items together in one section or page.
